Q: How many campers are in each term of summer camp?

A: All of our camps have a 12 camper maximum per term of camp.

Q: How many counselors are there at each term of camp?

A: We have 1 Camp Director, 1 Head Counselor, and 2 regular Counselors at each term of camp. This is a 3:1 Camper to Counselor ratio. Furthermore, we often will have Counselors In Training helping out at camp. 

Q: What fly fishing equipment does Blue Valley provide at camp?

A: We provide all fly fishing equipment needed for camp (rods, reels, flies, etc.). Your child is welcome to bring their own rod and equipment.

Q: Does BV provide food and water at camp?

A: Yes, we serve PBJ's and chips or cookies each day of camp. We provide small plastic water bottles for campers throughout camp. Your child is welcome to bring his own water and snacks.

*If a camper has an allergy, we will not serve the item he/she is allergic to that week*

Q: What should my child wear, as well as bring, the first two days of camp?

A: Your child should wear shoes that he can run in, a hat, shorts or a swim suit, and sunscreen the first two days of camp. Your child should bring a towel to dry off at the end of camp. These first two days are filled with casting practice, obstacle courses, and a water activity to end the day.

Q: What should my child wear, as well as bring, the last two days of camp?

A: Your child should wear *shoes* he can wade through water in, a hat, a swim suit, a shirt he can get wet, sunscreen, and *sunglasses*. Your child should bring a towel to dry off at the end of camp. The last two days are filled with fishing and swimming in shallow creeks.

*Old tennis shoes or water shoes work great.*

*Polarized sunglasses are not necessary, but will help your child see in the water*
